who can use it

you have to be 18 or older. Anonymous Writers Club is a writing site. it is not therapy, counseling or a crisis service. if you're in danger or thinking about ending your life, call or text 988 (US) or text HOME to 741741.

what you're paying for

writing and reading the wall are free. a purchase ($1.11 unless the page says otherwise) gets you 3 poems shaped from what you wrote and 1 spot on the wall. each extra spot on the wall is another purchase. writing one for someone ($3.33) gets you 3 poems for them and a private link to send; gifts never go on the wall. "pay one forward" pays for a poem set for a stranger who can't pay right now; it isn't a donation either. anything you add as "a little extra" is a tip for the site, not a donation, and isn't tax-deductible. payments are handled by Stripe.

how the poems are made

the poems are shaped from your words with AI. we tell it to build them from your own details and check that each one is different from what's already on the wall. what comes back is yours to post or not.

the wall

every piece is checked before it goes up, and anything flagged waits for a person to read it. we can turn down or take down any piece, for example if it names or targets a real person, or describes self-harm in detail. if we turn down a piece you paid for, we refund that purchase.

your words

you keep the rights to what you write. by posting, you let Anonymous Writers Club show your piece on the wall and share it, without your name, on our own pages and social accounts (for example, reading it in a video). you can ask us to take any piece down by emailing theanonwritersclub@gmail.com with the private link to it.

things in the mail

cards, prints and framed prints are made and mailed by our printing partners, US addresses only. we check the address before you pay and use it only to send your order; once the printer has it, we delete our copy. you can sign it or leave it anonymous. if something arrives damaged or wrong, email theanonwritersclub@gmail.com and we'll send a new one. if an order can't be made, you're refunded automatically.

refunds

if something went wrong with a purchase, email theanonwritersclub@gmail.com and we'll make it right.

the usual

the site is offered as is. we're not responsible for what other people write, beyond reviewing it in good faith. these terms are governed by California law. we may update them, and the date at the top will change when we do.

privacy

the short version: we don't want to know who you are, and we built it so we mostly can't.

• no accounts. no names, no emails, no logins. your browser keeps a private key to your writing so you can come back to it.
• what we store: what you write, the poems made from it, and what you post. a gift link shows only the poem, never what you wrote, and only to people who have the link. if you never post, your writing stays private and is never shown to anyone.
• payments: Stripe processes them. we never see your card. Stripe shows us the amount and whether it went through. if you use Apple Pay or Google Pay, Stripe may get your email for the receipt.
• poems: to make poems, your writing is sent to our AI provider, which doesn't use it to train its models.
• abuse protection: we keep a scrambled, one-way version of your IP address for a day to limit spam. we can't turn it back into your address.
• no ads, no trackers, no selling or sharing your information.
• deleting: email theanonwritersclub@gmail.com with the private link to your piece and we'll delete it.
